It does all fine grating perfectly

The cheese grater is the best I have had for hard cheese. It takes very little pressure to get a great job done. It is also arthritis friendly, the handle is made so you are not trying to get fingers into a narrow horizontal opening. The handle is vertical, 4 1/2" long, it has an oval indentation for your thumb. The handle is made of what feels like silicone. Grater portion is stainless steel, so no rust. The bottom has 1 1/2" of the silicone like material so the grater doesn't slide in the bowl or skillet as you grate.
It is SHARP! Use the plastic cover that clips over the grate surface.
This also grates cabbage with ease if you like a finer coleslaw.
What I am describing is a very well designed kitchen implement. Very well thought out before the production.
My next choice to use this for is apples. I am counting on it to reduce the time for applesauce and apple glaze for pork chops!
With more use and practice I do think I may be able to make longer pieces.
Yes, I wish I had purchased a couple extra for housewarming baskets. (Or the occasional bridal shower.)

Great Kitchen tool. I use it all the time for small jobs -much easier than pulling out my food processor. Easy to clean. It is very sharp!
